Have you ever been at Stockholm casino?
If yes,how is your impressions?
I've only been at Oslo from Scandinavian countries and there gambling is forbidden,they don't have any BM casinos only one within a ship which departs from Oslo for Copenhagen once or twice a week.
At Copenhagen they do have casinos but never been there.

We are just 10 million here, but distances are far.  I have Three Capitals closer from here to Stockholm.
If I travel from here to the North border, I should reach Roma if I Went South the same distance.
I hardly never visit Stockholm.  Copehagen is an hour away by train. Berlin is closer, and Amsterdam too.

We have Casinos in four places, Stockholm, Goteborg, Malmo and Sundsvall.

Malmo is 50 km from here, and Copenhagen 20 km more.

If I play abroad I go to Hamburg, but it is not so often nowdays. I remember once i Hamburg

my friend  want to see me in the Bar, I forgot, 10 DM  on PASSE, somebode reminded me and
I could just in time remove after a run of seven.

Our casinos is owned by the State, and it is rather high mini bet. I seldom visit as 20  chips
is at least 100 Euro.

The Roulette is one zero, but the carpet is American style, all EC:s at one side, and they pay half back on EC:s if zero.  They do not spin before "No more bets"

As you might have guessed, I am interested in language. For Danes the Swedish language is rather difficult due to words that look alike but differ in meaning! I remember a funny introduction in some old Swedish magazine: Welcome to a World in which "MARKER OCH GRÖNA FÄLT" does not refer to NATURE! Of course Jesper can understand it immediately.  "Marker" are the jetons or chips you MARK betting with.
I have been to the Casino of Gothenburg (Göteborg) once.  The staff there is not allowed to receive tips.
In Denmark, however, we are almost forced to tip the staff,  if we win on plein or straight up.
But if we operate at the TOUCHBET ROULETTE MACHINES (connected to a real table with real dealers), we do not tip during play. The machines do not require tips.
And  we are allowed to bet after the ball is released

A trip to Hamburg or Berlin is closer, faster and will not be more expency than travel inside Sweden.
I takes just an hour to get to Copenhagen, and less time to go to Hamburg or Berlin than Stockolm.

This Towns are larger than any Towns in Sweden.  You will seldom meet a person recognising you if
play a bit from home.  I can bring some liqour back home for 1/2 the price.
It is actually buses in this business, takes you for a shopping trip for a fee of about 35 Euro.
This buses use to have max bagage 250 kilo, on a label, some has just seats half the area, rest for
"bagage".

The casinos there you have to tip, make the payout like an American Wheel with two zeros.
In Sweden they don't even are allowed to be tipped.

I have no problem reading Danish, and speak with older people, the younger generation Danes
use a language which I think even Danes being abroad for 20 years have problem with.
The Danish has change a lot in a few decades.

The most funny is the Swedish ROLIG which means fun, in Danish it means  calmly .
If you are noisy at the bar, and the Danish bartender tell you to be ROLIG the Swedish
customer answer he will try better, and make more sound.

Many proper Danish words  are slang in Swedish.

The languages (there are two) are so similar to Swedish both speakers fully understand.
People close to the border in Sweden speak something which is a dialect of Swedish,
and a language 200 meters away.
There are in both Sweden and Norway Sami speakers as well.

Yes, Per! (As a matter of fact my first name is Per - a short Scandinavian version of Peter).
We agree that the dealers in Sweden are not allowed to receive tips
And Sweden does not support prostitution.
In Denmark the situation is different.  If a man win much, some dealer or prostitute may be smiling.
And the winner might be an easy target after some drinks. As you might know, the Danes  in general have a rather large consumption of alcohol. We have just had an election; and  the next leader (statsminister Lars Løkke Rasmussen) likes drinking beer.
Some years ago we were able to play at sea between our countries. I played between Frederikshamn and Göteborg. Not all passengers were sober. And the payouts were lousy. If you won  on one number, you´d receive only 30 chips. But the ferry tickets were cheap at that time.

In Germany  the plein winner must pay tips ("Stück") too.  And their Multiroulette of Touchbet Roulette machines take their "tips". As I mentioned, the machines in Denmark do not!
Of course you would not visit casinos in Denmark just to avoid paying tips!
