What data is useful to collect
« on: May 13, 2018, 06:50:42 PM »
Hi All,

I like to track my roulette play so that I can look at how well my betting or strategies are performing.

I have recently started a new method and wondered what other people track if anything im currently tracking

Start time
End time
total value of  bets
Total value won
Session %
Profit in units
Spins played

Is that about right or is there other things I should be keeping track of?

Many thanks,

I assume its a B&M casino?

Drive time.
gross/net, total & hourly
spins skipped (if thats you?)

I count EVERYTHING!

Not trying to waste your time but do you remember which thread? I am a huge advocate in regards to adding in drive time. Over the **YEARS** I would talk about drive time and others would say....never thought about that Ken.

Hi, No its online at the moment as i live 40+ miles to my nearest BM one so I would be  minus 32 before i start. ( 10 x 2hrs + £12 train or petrol etc ( about same )

I do prefer BM casino but circumstances are making online the most attractive play currently.

Of course there is pros and cons to both, but im not greedy and am often happy if i only make a small profit, and online can give you that if you win the first few spins you can log off in a matter of minutes!

You never track your losses? You must never LOSE! ;)

Thinking about it i guess all you would need would be the total bet if any and if you did win and how much.

On the other hand i believe you shouldnt go past that as you will be tracking spins and I dont believe its necessary when it comes to RANDOM. cough aka rigged cough

I have written an Excel note sheet. The sheet can be used on internet or in a B&M casino when you download the sheet on your i-pad.

The game is a preview of the free Dutch roulette.

Yeah i know "online" = bad

But doing ok only a low roller and its more cost effective than going to a BM casino, as im 30+ down there before i even placed a chip  lol

My method needs tweeking a bit but not doing too bad

Just out of interest what target would you recommend for a 80 - 120 unit start bankroll.

Ok, this wont be the same for everyone but here is my breakdown.

Playing online roulette  LIVE dealer wheels ONLY

Pros
No travel time wasted ( 2hrs+ for me )
No travel costs incurred
Lower chip / bet values
Lower target needed
Can be playing within minutes
Can visit more frequently
Shorter sessions
Generally higher SPH
Easier to track and log play data

Cons
Don't get to interact with real people and dealers
Possible connection issues or other tech faults inc unaccepted bets
Unable to really know if the games are fair
Slower cash outs
Possible future SOW issues

In addition to this I have now decided what data i log for each session

Total bets
Total wins
Session profit loss and
Session / total Time played
Spins
Total bankroll used

This month isnt going great but the first 6 days was on old betting, which i am still tweeking

Bets  £5,039
Wins £5,049
Spins 1263
Time  22:15hrs

Also the way i see it if i visited a BM casino say twice a week, that would cost me 1,200 minimum a year which is a lot harder to overcome than a 2.7% HE

So to the online haters maybe this is food for thought that although online can appear and maybe is dodgy for the time being i consider it the better bet for me  win or lose its fun.

Please all feel free to chip in with any other comments :)

Impressive!  You spent 22 hours to earn 10 dollars... it's less then 0.5 per hour.

Mrperfect are you sure they didn't mean 10 o'clock military time? As well as saying he spent 5 grand and has won a total of 5 grand off of the 5 grand so a 1 for 1 win ratio?
