Electronic roulette game machine...
« on: March 11, 2018, 01:45:13 PM »
Hi all,

Anyone know how the  RNG works for these machines? Is it similar to a slot machine? Specifically, when is the number determined? is it exactly when the button is pressed?

For example, I press the button and the "wheel" spins and lands on 5 RED. I immediately select another number then press the button and it lands on 26 BLACK. If  I would have waited 2 minutes to press the button instead of 5 seconds would the outcome be the same?

Good question.
You basically ask how the results are determined. I believe that they are based on a random generator, that could be based on an inside clock or algorithm. I believe the outcomes are not stored anywhere or something, so most probably, not only if you waited, but also if you went back in time and pressed the button at the same time, the result would be new.

Just my 2 cents, I'm no expert on these things.

@double zero
i know a very little bit about how it works within the roulette wheel, but the GENERAL process goes something like this :

when a "random" number is generated the algorithm uses what is called a SEED. This "seed" must be unpredictable to anyone and, if it was predictable or knew how they generate the "random" number, we would be able to crack the wheels so to say.

take this "problem" the casinos are having with old slot machines
