I went for experience based on the fact that 'timing' is the key to everything for me. You obviously need the experience to learn when it's the right time to place the bet. Actual bet selection is of course important but comes second and the money management is not as important if you get the first two right. Why? because you will save a fortune and the object is to stay in the game when the SHTF and anybody should be able to take advantage of an upswing.

Thats part of it but mainly.....its where men go to play.

I did a thread before......if there was a casino 5 minutes from your home OR play online, what is your preference? Sure as heck...most chose online (rofl)

Sure they can.
I just wanted to know why B&M can be considered a factor of winning by MrJ.

Would people say, B&Ms "cheat" equally as online? (lol)

No way and I'm not talking about trash countries and their unregulated rathole casinos. Being able to cheat and actually cheating, two different things!

Bet selection -- We need to isolate specific types of sequences and improve our hit rate as much as possible

Progression (wagering plan) -- Progression is directly connected to our coup win rate

Money management (stop loss - win target) -- Stop loss is required to manage our unit sizing for recovery

Hit and run (changing tables etc.) -- We must be able to also isolate bad sequences BEFORE they affect us.  Every session is composed of the entire sequence of spins that we have experienced.  Breaking bad sequences pre-emptively is necessary.

Bankroll -- We need to know the worst sequences that we can expect to see and make sure our bankroll can accomodate the recovery process that will be required.  We will lose more than we will win.

All five of these are essential and interrelated.  Remove any one of them and our results will suffer.

I had to eliminate the following choices because they are not PRACTICAL cornerstones (most are assumed):

Experience
Good Knowledge of Probability
Extensive Testing
Discipline
Fair Game

A point/question I have though. The people that check "fair game", I assume they dont play at a B&M?

Dont red lights go off in your head if, you are CONCERNED with getting a fair game? What should that tell you?

The secret to winning, or at least not losing is experience and 3 or 4 methods to be able to use at a moments notice. These methods must be capable of holding their own while flat betting, even if they don’t always hold up. That’s why you need a few good ones, so that you can change gears, and the experience to know when to change.  I don’t mean you can’t use a progression, but you have to know when to back out. There is usually a point when you will never overcome the hole you dug with that progression, and you want to get out beforehand.

MrJ,

I checked 'Fair Game". I selected it as an essential requirement to be able to win.

I play both in B&M and online casinos. I do not know the extent of cheating in the online or B&M casinos I play. I do hope they are fair. But sometimes strange things happen. And we do know that pharma companies cheat and judges get bribed, so why not have doubts about casinos?

For your interest my other choices were:
Luck
Progression
Money Management
Bankroll

Right now, according to the poll, Discipline and Bankroll seem the 2 top requirements for successful play.Very pragmatic, common sense choices I must say. Let's keep the voting open and see what out collective consciousness has to say.

My keystones are knowledge of random rows, strategy, bet selection, some systems and hit and run.
