It is not the zeros, it is the pay out.   I know about a double zero wheel paying 38 on a straight up. Otherwise playing with one slot more, and the same payout as the 37 slot, makes a high house advantage.

In Casino in USA -
Minimum Bet in Single Zero Roulette is $50 while in Double Zero Roulette is $10.

Nothing beats the original, and any other than that is a corruption of both the odds and the format, all based on greed!

If there are no single zero tables you have no choice. I know that Jek is playing in Holland Casino they only have American wheels. But he hasn't lost there with Palestis Single Dozen System. lol  :D . But i prefer single zero wheels that's why i play online on a live B&M casino table.

Slight correction about Holland Casinos, they actually have EU (Fr.) pattern wheels, not 00!
The reference to "American Roulette" is in relation to the type of "fast action-single dealer" table design, players on one side, dealer on the other.
Classic "French Roulette" is played on a double sided, (and often double ended) large format table with two, and sometimes four croupiers controlling the action.
Luxurious to play, but no speed demons need apply,
The American "style" table, on the other hand, allows quick action and razzamatazz.
Very telling that American 00 wheel/tables in the US are underused, and the Highrollers would rather play in Europe, -well, it's obvious isn't it?
