Fact vs Fact
« on: January 21, 2018, 12:40:01 AM »
After reading through many of the threads in this section I began to feel uneasy about what some players regard as FACTS relating to roulette.

We can not ignore the fact that the forum has some very intelligent and knowledgeable members that should any of them write a book, they will undoubtedly be quoted in discussions  by non published members.

Quoting a published author to strengthen an opinion or to create a foundation for an argument has its merits but understanding why published authors are quoted adds new light to the subject.

Publishing a book is a simple process, anyone can do it. In discussions where published word is cited, the published word is never questioned because it is taken as fact. The evidence to confirm it is fact is simply because it has been published as such. A fact that is presented by a non published person on a forum like this is questioned and branded as BS if it goes against the grain of other opinions.
