Would you still post?
« on: January 20, 2018, 08:30:37 PM »
I did this thread YEARS ago!! Thought I would bring it back because its interesting.

QUESTION >> Lets say you found a very very great method (not a HG).

Maybe you read it or created it yourself, whatever. This method wins and wins, a loss every 20 casino visits.

Would you still post at other threads, start NEW method threads, explore other ideas, test other ideas etc?

I say, most would. You can find threads that have hundreds of posts. This board and another STUPID board I know of (lol).....a system posted, almost everyone loves it. Tons and tons of compliments etc.

A couple years go by....look at those same posters, NOW at different threads. (lol)

If xxx system was so great, why keep exploring? Your goal (imo) should be to one day become self sufficient. Rely on NOBODY at the boards. I just dont get it.

I'm sure you do get it Ken. Did you write this with your hot repeater system in mind?

Not at all. Lets be honest though. Many posters get very excited about xxx system, they never stop talking about it. Four months later, its never brought up again (lol).

Isn't our goal to find something so great, no need to post anymore?

I responded to Ken's humour in the post. The "small things amuse small minds" was written in agreement to the humour in his comments and not directed at him.

Even though we may have discovered a system that wins, we also know that it has its weaknesses and can be improved.  Is there knowledge out there that is superior to what we have discovered?  Very most likely.

Reyth made a very interesting point above.
If one looks at the claims of success posted on the forum you have to wonder why successful players still frequently visit forums.
Yes we may have a winning method and yes we are very familiar with its weaknesses. We all know we can improve our playing status so we continue looking to improve our position. Why do AP hang around reading about systems? Are they as successful as they claim? Logic tells me they are not that successful but then again they could have some type of a psychological short circuit and the forum is their fix. I really don't know.

Will I post a strong winning system on the forum?  No, but I will drop hints about it in many of my different threads and posts and it's up to readers to work with and understand what they read. Or, I may post the system without too  much detail; more in the line of asking if it could work. There would be no fancy pictures or graphs and no claims on success. I'd get a few comments but no rush.

I'm here to learn and share some......

To keep tabs on opportunities around the world.  Since it's not possible to be every where at once people like me need minions.  APs from several different games find that it's more efficient to network and trade information.  With various message boards it's easy to send a coded post or message and instantaneously alert others.

Many reasons to keep checking a forum like this one.
First, because it is entertaining. Here's a gathering of people with the same "obsession" as me who chat and discuss about a very interesting topic, revealing themselves, their flaws and weaknesses, their hopes and their enthusiasm. Is like a microcosmo of a society, with roles so well depicted; the wise, the troll, the leader, the follower, the curios, the psycho, the scammer, the dumb, the reporter, the friend of all, the lunatic, and so on and so forth.
Second, because I always find amusing trying to use the same concept I successfully developed in a even more profitable way. After all, the one I use now is not the one I used years ago (although that one was a winning one). Some little tweaks had improved it, and an important one of that tweaks came after reading about a system idea here. I found it worthy and I adapted it into mine. There's is nothing in this world that cannot be perfected. One of the problem I always had is that I am an emotional guy, so for me a system that needs a huge bankroll or high amount of chips in a single shot is not my cup of tea. The struggle for me has always been a system with low requirements, while for other can be no need for calculations or you name what (I always suggest to work around your weakness, not your strong point. At the end will be your weak spot to fail you down). Bringing down the bankroll has been my goal, and I keep trying to lower it further.
Third, as I said many times, encourage with my experience others to pursuing their dream to be consistent winner at the casino.
