##### RouletteMan's Corner
« on: October 07, 2017, 07:26:02 PM »

Thought I'd use this topic to share Tips, Tricks and Observations I seen or learned over the 30+ years I've been playing our favorite game.  Here are a few to start:

The power of the first loss.

Look at this:

WLWLLWLLWWLWWLLLWLWLLLWLWLLLWWLWLWLLLWL

23 L
16 W

Where do you place your loss?  In a session, each of my games always ends in a loss.  Never a session I am going to contune playing ends in a win.

Why?

I didn't do so good above. Now the way I play I divide this example up into games within a session:

Game 1 WL
Game 2 WL
Game 3 LWL
Game 4 LWWL
Game 5 WWL
Game 6 LLWL
Game 7 WL
Game 8 LLWL
Game 9 WL
Game 10 LLWWL
Game 11 WL
Game 12 WL
Game 13 LLWL

Why do I do this.  For me, the killer has always been the Three Losers in a row.

Let's score this flat bet session:

Game 1 WL +0
Game 2 WL +0
Game 3 LWL -1
Game 4 LWWL -1
Game 5 WWL -0
Game 6 LLWL -2
Game 7 WL -2
Game 8 LLWL -4
Game 9 WL -4
Game 10 LLWWL -5
Game 11 WL -5
Game 12 WL -5
Game 13 LLWL -7

So -7 units.

But I'm a believer in regression.  I have to lock up my wins.  John Patrick started me in that way of play.
My method which isn't important tends to more or less evenly divide wins / losses.  Most methods do

Bet 2u after W Bet 1u till loss (example only, I bet different amounts)

Game 1 WL +1 +1
Game 2 WL +1 +2
Game 3 LWL -1 +1
Game 4 LWWL -0 +1
Game 5 WWL +2 +3
Game 6 LLWL -3 +0
Game 7 WL +1   +1
Game 8 LLWL -3   -2
Game 9 WL +1   -1
Game 10 LLWWL -2 -3
Game 11 WL +1 -2
Game 12 WL +1 -1
Game 13 LLWL -3 -4

Total -4

So with just one little tweak 42.9% of our losses are saved. With a 69.57% losing bets selection.

Yes, I know we can all easily win the above session. Not what it's about.  Example is for showing how To Save losses.

"Key in" on controlling your losses.

Important: Back load the losses and regression.  If you don't control your losses you cannot consistently win.

You can pretend to read a bias wheel, have a magic 8 ball and all the rest. It won't work.  The "Wheel" will chopped the legs out from under you and bury you in debt. I watch it happen on a weekly basis with people who believe they know what they are doing.

I could have showed a winning session, but what's the point?  I showed a session where it favored the
opposite of the bet and we survived. Save your session units and bankroll or you will get Rolled by the casino.

Welcome to the forum!  Awesome posting!  Looking forward to all of your next installments.

So, a new game must contain a win at some point prior a game ending loss.  How do you handle games with multiple initial losses?  Any cutoff point?  Guessing 3 in a row??

This severely reminds me of Sputnik's regression, up and pull method where he starts with a single unit of 2 chips and then once he gets his first win he drops to 1 chip (half-unit) and then starts pulling upward, protecting his profit on each successive bet.  What do you think?

Thanks,  been here for years, only post occasionally. I was the one to reverse engineered Dr. Talos system. Would never recommend playing it. Bet three and four are big no no's.  Never outlay that much for so little a return. But thats another subject.

Yes, three in a row on the first game bets is a quit, But after the first game, it's really 4L in a row.

Game 1 WL
Game 2 LLL

It give you a lot more room to maneuver.

I used Bet 2u then 1u as an example. But really it should be like this:

Bet 2 should be more than Bet 1 if doubled)

Here's why:

The original
Bet 2 Win +2
Bet 1 Win +3
Bet 2 Loss +1

The corrected
Bet 5 Win +5
Bet 3 Win +8
Bet 4 Loss +4

The corrected version give up only 20% of the win of the first bet on the third bet. The original give up 50%.  Too much for being three bets in.

I don't play this way.  Say I started with 5u then 3u.  I dropped to the minimum till loss.  I'm interested in locking up profit and will gladly take all the free money after that with no risk to my session bankroll.

Up and pull is

5 3 4 5 7 9 5 7 9

Bet 1 5u +5 or loss =-5
Bet 2 3u +8 or loss = +2
Bet 3 4u +12 or loss = +4
Bet 4 5u +17 or loss = +7
Bet 5 7u +24 or loss = +10
Bet 6 9u +33 or loss = +15
Bet 7 5u +38 or loss = +28
Bet 8 7u +45 or loss = +31
Bet 9 9u +54 or loss = +36

Wins and losses look good but how many time do you win 5 times in a row?

At Bet 5 you either have +24Win or +10Win

My bet 5 3 1 1 1
My Bet                     Up and Pull
Bet 1 5u +5 or -5     Bet 1 5u +5 or loss =-5
Bet 2 3u +8 or +2    Bet 2 3u +8 or loss = +2
Bet 3 1u +9 or +7    Bet 3 4u +12 or loss = +4
Bet 4 1u +10 or +8  Bet 4 5u +17 or loss = +7
Bet 5 1u +11 or +9  Bet 5 7u +24 or loss = +10

You be the judge but for me it's rare to get past 3,
so at Bet 3 I'm +9 or +7.  Which is 180% of bet one or 140% on a loss.

Up and pull
Bet three on a win 240% of bet one (I like) or on a loss only 80% of my original Bet 1 win.

It's great if you win more often three or more time in a row, but if you are realistic, you win 3 or less times in a row much, much, much more often.

Rouletteman I and many others are interested in roulette systems , betting schemes and roulette methods.
Nobody can read your report. LLWWWLWLLWW sequences are worthless when we do not know what you are playing and what kind of method you use. Your whole report can be a fake.

We are curious ,how you try to beat the roulette.
