Alternative to Roulette in Land Casinos

French Bank – The Simple Dice Game
Although according to the name of the game it may sound paradoxical, French Bank is a Portugal dice game, which is played with three dice. The game is very simple like e.g. Under & Over 7. There are only three possible bets in the French Bank: Low, High & Aces.

Low (Pequeno ) is represented by the sums of 5, 6 or 7, High (Grande) then by the sums of 14, 15 or 16 and finally Aces are the same values on all three dice. The dice are rolled as long as any of these combinations occur, other values are irrelevant.
Low and High are even-money bets with the payout ratio of 1:1. The payout of Aces is 61:1. However the Aces lose, when either Low or High is rolled. On the basis of this information and true mathematical odds we can stipulate the edge (share/profit) of the casino. It is 1.6%, which is very satisfactory for players compared to other casino and gambling games.
Due to the fact that Low (5, 6, 7) and High (14, 15, 16) are quite borderline numbers/values, it is far more probable that the values between 8 and 13 are going to be rolled more often. That is to say that these values can be created by a higher number of combinations. The whole spectrum of values is, of course, from 3 to 18, which can occur by the total of 6 × 6 × 6 = 63 = 216 combinations.
Seeing that these values (3, 4, 8 to 13, 17, 18) are disregarded, we can say that 7 out of 10 rolls in average are not counted. Therefore we can presume that, in case of bad luck, we could play longer than as regards other casino and gambling games.
