I am just opposite, the longest day today, and Friday it is celebrated!  Real parties of the year.
Yes it is moved to the weekend and midsummer is the closest weekend to the astronomical.

In the northen part of Sweden The sun will be visible 24 hours for some weeks.

I have been shopping for tomorrow, we will have a great party, as we do here at Midsummer. We use a pole which is of pagan origins, a phallus in mother earth.  Dancing around!

Yes we have a lot of space,  some part of the country has 1 on a square mile, the urban areas are denser, like 600.
I live rural, and like the cities just for visiting. Living rural and can reach Copenhagen in less than an hour. Berlin a night on train.  The plot my house is on is 2 acres.
