Why so many ways we think on Roulette?
« on: June 10, 2016, 04:35:16 AM »

We see a lot of time, more in other fora than here
discussions on system play, which goes harsh. Some wins using what  other call voodoo or "will lose".
There are a lot of methods which seems to lack
all logic, but the player would not claim it is
any good if not had some plus session using it.
For most as long it wins good, and after a hard loss
it is rejected, and a new one is used.

We know all it is possible to win a lot of sessions
using progressions, and I do not mean this
kind of play.
Like 1 3 9 27 81 243 729 2187 ... on a 2/3.
This kind of progressions wins often, but will 100% lose hard.
Slower progressions can win over 15000 spins.
Flat EC on NOZ over millions of spin as they will
almost never be equal in numbers.

As how we ever put it, we do not know what will happen
in the spins ahead, it is a guess, and we can use all
kinds of decisions. The only game we can do that must
be roulette. "Go against", "Follow", "Sleeper", "Repeater".
"Wait until", "Virtual bets" "Ecart" "AP" "Hit and run" "Change table" "Dealers signature" "Read random" you name it.
And we have the Math fans, many correct equations, "Average"
"SD" and more, but is such information winning?
I think it is useful to know, but can we use it, for
more than know it will be hard to recover if down.

How can for different players opposite strategies work?

Wail thinking about it, I thought to "invent" a "System"
which is pure voodoo. and play it for 10 sessions, trying
to win 300 units on each.

Funny, it went rather good won all, some took time.
One demanded high bets other won fast.

I just chose to play EC HIGH, started with a spin with no
bet. Then if it were HIGH, a new spin, and when LOW fall,
I bet on HIGH 18 numbers from the hit (on carpet). Like if 1 fall I bet 19. I run it until I was 300 plus. I used
a one zero wheel (accepted 0.01), bet one on zero if zero fall. (Quite sure it is invented before).

I have seen similar system serious discussed and analysed
on the net. On a search using a program they use here
to find if students had stolen or made a plagiary on
his papers, it is most discussion on the claims of
winning which for many is impossible.
(Just post a roulette system in the "Skill" sector
on a poker site, claim you won, you will see!).
And Martingale has a huge part of the text, often
as an new invention. A big part is 2/3 bet, and EC,
a few on the straight ups. If straight ups,
the major is about sleepers and repeaters.

In the search I tried to exclude sites, which
fools people to a specific casino, and give
advice like put ten on black ten on red,
1 on zero, and zero will come fast due to
you fool the cheating algorithm in the RNG.

Why is it only Roulette and not other casino game, has
so many opinions and way of thinking how to play?

Well I can tell you what hooked me on this game:

THE POWER TO WIN SO MUCH MONEY SO QUICKLY!
I think this is the base of what drives it all.

Here we had a chap losing SEK 30000000  (About 3.3 miljon Euro), not his own money. Fast money for a casino. A have indeed won more than lost, but the diff is either fast or very  much.

The wheel of doom has been spinning and ruining people for over two hundred years. Over that time a relatively small  (I would say miniscule) number of people will have come out ahead, and those that are regular or compulsive players will be overall losers. It's simply a matter of time and volume of play for this to occur. There's a simple mathematical explanation why this happens as we all know.

A (very) few individuals will be winners because they've identified a part of the process of the game that impacts the randomness and have taken advantage of it; people such as Senor Garcia-Pelayo. Of the remainder who have walked away with more than they started with, it'll be a combination of (a) generous treatment by the variance fairy and (b) ceasing to play before the winnings are ultimately lost (and more). It won't be anything to do with any system that has been derived that defies the laws of the underlying maths, or responding to patterns that look to be emerging. We're genetically programmed to see patterns, even in completely random events, and this is one reason why roulette is so addictitve. Individuals may wish to think that it's their method etc that has brought them success, but really it isn't. Really. Sorry if that runs contrary to the beliefs of the contributors to this forum - everyone is entitled to their own view.

Why do those of us who recognise all of this continue to play? Possibly a combination of hoping to get lucky on the night, and that our luck will hold imperpetuity, and stupidity. I'm certainly as guilty as the next . . . .

Nice weekend all.

Systems can be very helpfull but only the knowledge of the features of random events can make you a successful player. Everybody can learn to play roulette. Talent determine the success !!!!
