How effective is this strategy?
« on: November 22, 2015, 08:05:09 AM »
Well, I think I came up with a strategy that proved to be effective for me as it got me consistent winnings and even my losses were compensated by the lucky numbers. So I devised a bet where my betsize is 29 and I have carefully placed my bets on the numbers that hit often.The bet involves betting on betting one unit straight on the following numbers: 1, 3, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 27, 29, 30
And betting two units straight on the numbers 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36. Now this has worked for me most of the time but what I can't figure out is how good is this strategy for playing in the long run? The bet involves betting on 24 numbers which gives us the probability of 64% and alongside, with each bet won from the one unit straight up bet, there's a $6 profit and if the numbers from 31 - 36 come, you get $42 profit
This is kind of a chart I came up with which showed positive results:
My capital = $10,000
34 = W = 10, 042
12 = W = 10, 048
12 = W = 10, 052
14 = W = 10, 058
25 = L = 10, 030
25 = L = 10, 000
15 = W = 10, 006
31 = W =10, 048

Sorry for having to say this but if this is a flat betting system, which it appears to be, you will get killed in the long run, especially because 29 is over half of 42.

I like the concept though, of having one section being lower while targeting another section which is higher.

Just my opinion. : )

Hi Larix,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your system.

I agree with Reyth.
Since you use no progression, your method requires that your winning numbers and especially the 2 unit numbers to come more often than "they should" (1 time in 37 spins) and this can not be the case every time.

You maybe fooled by the fact that by betting many numbers, the "hot numbers" fall often within your betting group, but when they will not, they will surely wipe out your winning easily.

Larix your idea is not a strategy but a system. On the short run  you can expect a profit or loss with a percentage of 50%.There is not a method to compute how large the profit and loss should can be.
 On the forum I have described some examples how you can compute what happens on the long run.

You must compute the total payout and bets of a true sample of 37 spins. The result shall be  a loss of 2.7%.This is the expectation of the long run result.

Oh hello Kav and Dobbelsteen, thank you for your reviews. Just on a side note Kav, I actually devised this by misunderstanding your strategy and then, a little additions came in. It actually feels kinda nice talking to pros here. Once again, thank you!
