On the live wheel, some numbers can be a better bet than others.
The reason is because of subtle biases that may be present on the wheel.
The most widely bet numbers are the 0,00 and 17. If a wheel is subtly bias for those numbers - due to residue, etc.. then the table may reflect a lower profit since those numbers are receiving the most action. Consequently the casino is going to react more quickly to correct them, if they're perceived as running a bit too hot. In general, the numbers 0,00, and 17 will tend to get a little extra attention from maintenance, especially if a table loss occurs. ( Of course, most of the time, a table loss would be due to variance.)
The numbers that people tend to bet on less frequently will have a greater chance of being overlooked by the casino, since they're unlikely to affect the table's win.
Consequently, the numbers on the edges of the layout ( tend to have fewer bets placed on them) and have a greater chance of running hot.
For example the numbers, 3,4, 33,34 would be more likely to persist as bias than the numbers 0,00 and 17.
I know this sound like superstition, however, I have data to back up my observations.
