Just a thought, that could mean very much if explored:
Contemplating up as you lose progressions ("negative") I believe a wise wayto determine your next bet is taking into account your total losses so far.
The bet should be a fraction of your current loss.
To give you an example, in Martingale
the bet is 100% your losses +1 unit.
I believe that the more you lose, then the bet should be a lower the fraction of your loses vs when you lose less.
For example, generally and completely vaguely speaking, when you lose 100 chips the bet should be 1/4 of your losses while if you lose 20 chips the bet can be 1/2 of your losses.
This is a framework, not a wagering plan.
Furthermore one should take into account his payouts ratio. A bet on Black which pays 2:1 needs a very different progression than a 6 numbers bet.
