No outside bets needs  in most cases higher chips value, and a straight still pays fair or fair-2,7%.
Many never plays EC:s, and some allways or mix.

Harry J had this done to him (in effect) and simply switched to a double street system. :D

Harry J was right Reyth wasn't he ?
A Dozen can be bet using the 2 DoubleStreets in that dozen.
Perhaps ken did not know that ?
Strangely, a dozen, column . R/B O/E H/L can also  bet using their numbers on the layout. The EC -Dozens and Columns are only Shorthand for their individual numbers.
Yes-Yes - I know - ken is only taking the piss.

(lol)...I think I'm well tuned up, thanks. I'll give a goofy example. Was sitting next to this guy playing with dollar chips (figures). He was doing pretty well playing the inside. Not great but not too bad.

The dealer loved the second dozen...its my favorite, he says. (min bet was $10)

The bettor wanted to play a tip for the dealer for a few spins for helping him out. Seems kind of nice. He bet his 10 chips on the inside, then puts $2 on the second dozen for the dealer. Dealer says he cant do that (not enough money) and even calls pit over. Pit says the same thing...$10 is the min bet. Sticking to the rules, I guess I agree with that.

This idiot player, idiot dealer, idiot pit boss.....I said, put $1 on each of the two double streets, its the same thing.

All three looked damn confused, I felt like I was on a message board again. Thats my non-arguing story of the week.

PART 2 >> When I'm doing well, I like to place a few bets for the dealer. I'll usually do $25 on the 0/00 split and $25 on the 17/18 split. You have to call it out if betting for the dealer. The old way, would really piss me off!!!

It it hit, they would also take my $25 chip (lol)...they said its part of it. I say bulls**t but whatever.

After upsetting me a few times, my new way.....I'll do my bets for the dealer but I say, these split bets are not for you.

Kind of laughing and I give the dealer a wink. If it hits, I get the $425. I slide it right back over and say, here is a tip for you and thanks! Now, I get my $25 back.

Seems odd but as I have said 1,849 times, FIX THE PROBLEM !!!!!!!

So, ken, you give the dealer a tip . Why ?
Yes, I know, because you are good natured !

Thats another thing I have changed over the YEARS. Back in the day, I never tipped.

Also, the ONLY way I do the tipping is, placing a couple bets for them. I never just tip for the sake of tipping.

My example of the $50. Instead of giving them $50, I would rather try and give them $425 (looks better, lol).

Also, I only tip if way up. If I'm up only $800, no tips from me. Usually 2K+, I'll do some tipping.

Here and there...not all damn night.

As  a matter of interest , ken, what size of bankroll do you usually take to the casino ?
Mine is usually £100 .So I am not a  High Roller  ! I am very much a recreational player and more interested in ideas. I am quite happy to break even on the night.

Breaking even? I agree. If you can walk out breaking even, its pretty close to winning (imo).

I dont know how much this is >> £100? My BR walking in is around 4-10K depending.

£ 100 ken . About $133  !
I don't usually stay long at a table and Break-Even most times  because I seek to win early. If more than  20 spins I am losing and seeking recovery.

I'll do between 5-14 hours straight, no breaks.

I usually play for about a minimum of 8 hours myself, with no breaks.  Alternating the between the expensive drinks and free coffee to pass the time  :)

I almost always eat there (damn good food). I live 20 minutes away so the drive is pretty quick. I'll do bathroom breaks only, food is afterwards. One funny thing....I got there in the last hour of this girls shift.

I played through the next 8 hour shift, another 8 hour shift and the FIRST girl shows up for work again with me sitting in the same spot (lol). I think 18 hours straight is my record. She thought I went home and came back (lol).
