This is a write up of the John Huxley Roulette Wheels and their POSSIBLE capabilities.

Ill just copy and paste some of the juicy stuff, which is actually within the first page.

The present invention relates to a roulette wheel and a method of and a detection system for detecting drop zone bias.

A roulette wheel has a cylindrical support body within which a rotatable pocket cylinder is concentrically mounted so that a circular rim of the support body extends around the rotatable pocket cylinder. During a game of roulette, the pocket cylinder is spun, either by a croupier or by an automatic spinning mechanism, and a ball is set in motion so that it travels around the rim in either the clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. The ball is subjected to forces (for example due to gravity, friction, blasts of air, collisions with decorative features or even movement of the table as a whole) that slow it down until it can no longer travel along the rim and drops into the pocket cylinder, coming to rest in one of the pockets.

The roulette wheel should not introduce any bias which affects the fall of the ball from the rim. However, various factors may cause a bias to arise. For example, bias may arise due to manufacturing or installation defects resulting in incorrect levelling, temperature drift, an external change caused by movement of a ship or aircraft where a roulette wheel has been installed, or if a player leans on the roulette table with such force that the roulette wheel is no longer level. When such a bias is present, then part of the path of the ball around the rim may be sufficiently upwardly inclined to cause further slowing of the ball so that the ball consistently drops into the pocket wheel from that part of the rim. Thus if the roulette wheel is not level, then the drop zone of the ball may be biased towards a particular part of the rim. If, by observing a number of games, a player can determine before a game which part of the rim will provide the drop zone for that game then, just before the ball is about to fall into the pocket cylinder, that player can check which part of the pocket cylinder is adjacent that part of the rim and so make a better guess as to the identity of the pocket in which the ball will come to rest. This may allow a player to increase his chances of winning.

In an embodiment, the present invention provides a roulette wheel having a plurality of ball detecting elements spaced around the rim of the wheel and each operable to provide a ball detection signal in response to detection of the ball travelling through a corresponding region of the rim; a drop determiner operable to process the ball detection signals to identify, for each of a number of games of roulette, the ball detecting element that detected the ball last before the ball fell from the rim; and a memory operable to store, for each of a number of games of roulette, data identifying the ball detecting element that detected the ball last before the ball fell from the rim. The roulette wheel may also have an analyser operable to analyse the data to determine the distribution of the drop zone between the rim regions over a number of games.

This enables an operator to determine whether any drop zone bias is occurring and to take appropriate action. As another possibility, the roulette wheel may be have a levelling motor or motors that can be controlled to correct the levelling of the roulette wheel in response to detection of a drop zone bias. For example, the detection system may provide a signal to drive the levelling motor or motors to compensate for the detected drop zone bias.

Don't fret. These wheels have been best source of money for AP for a while already.
    These guys are so dumb as their understanding of drop zone bias. They have no clue whatsoever what makes player to win, wich is good for them ( risk of heart attack is reduced) and players.
    I spoke with their head engineering guy ( the one who developed low profile wheels) on few different ocasions  , all l can say, he is not a treat to player community. 
    These are good wheels for entry level players .

I stress this patent because it admits the the  casino has direct control over a bias helper setting

  Drop point often do not depend on leveling of the wheel... that device will not work every spin either. Such a tech is doomed simply because there is a moon orbiting the earth. It's gravitational pull affect ball drop directly and indirectly far more then leveling of the wheel.
    What many do not realise is not drop point is important itself , but " tilt effect" wich is grouping ball timings going to the diamond ( according to mainstream theory it's " important")...
    In fact other "effects of tilt" have much more importance for a player. Ball may beat different diamonds with multiple drop zones and still prodice very similar result.
    Research a bit yourself, understanding of the game that is displayed on forums and books..ets has many errors induced on the purpose. This "devil" is not that terrible as it painted.

other issues that may pose a security risk.

#1 Drop Zone Reports
For the purposes of monitoring wheel security and
performance, a Roulette Wheel is divided into three
imaginary Drop Zones – these can be visualized
using the GFL Optimisation Wheel Analysis feature.
If the ball shows a noticeable tendency to leave the
ball track in one of these zones more often than any
other, there is likely a bigger issue that needs to be

With Drop Zone Reporting, a greater percent of
frequency of the ball leaving the rim in a particular
zone is a strong indication that the wheel is either
dirty, imbalanced or that there has been some table or
wheel tampering. Operators who pay attention to their
Drop Zone reports have the advantage of knowing
immediately when to look into a wheel’s integrity.
This allows them to either action immediate wheel
maintenance or address suspicious game behaviour.

#2 Wheel Bias Reports & Alerts
A wheel bias is similar to, but different than, a Drop
Zone. The benefit of knowing both is that you can
quickly determine what sort of issue your wheel
is having, and where it’s located on the wheel,
according to which metric is abnormal. A wheel
bias is determined by the frequency of where the
ball lands, and a Drop Zone is determined by the
frequency of where the ball leaves the rim. If a
particular number, or group of numbers, is winning
more than average, you have a wheel bias.

Dead pockets or other wheel-related issues – often
related to improper wheel maintenance – are the
main causes of wheel bias. A Casino Operator who
can quickly identify that their wheel is experiencing
a bias can immediately close the table or monitor
it more closely to determine what further course of
action to take. A wheel bias alert, which notifies a casino operator that the system has identified a
potential issue, helps to secure the game in real-time, while the detailed information provided by the
wheel bias report, makes it easier for the casino to identify where the problem resides on the wheel.

#3 Wheel Maintenance History
Wheel Maintenance is an extremely important part of
ensuring a wheel is operating at peak efficiency. Equally
important, is knowing when your wheel was last serviced,
cleaned or levelled.
For example, imagine if your system was indicating a
higher percent of frequency in a particular Drop Zone. This
would potentially signify that the wheel or table has been
tampered with, there is an issue with the levelling of the
wheel or the wheel needs to cleaning. By referencing your
Wheel Maintenance History reports and identifying when
the wheel was last serviced, you can quickly identify if the
issue is likely to be related to cleanliness or not.

speed. Too fast and your players might hesitate
to play; too slow and you might be losing out on
revenue opportunities.
When connected to other enabled equipment on

#5 Speed of Cylinder

I've been checking this particular IB air ball machine for a while at a very large casino, and the ball keeps hitting the same vertical deflector (out of the 8 it has), not most of the time, but at least 95% of the time. Time after time just before the ball drops, it hits the same diamond all the time.
As long as the casino makes the money it expects to make from that Interblock roulette, I guess they don't care about y only one diamond gets hit all the time. ( if they bothered to notice it). And the area around that particular diamond looks excessively worn due to the constant hitting of the ball in that same spot.
The problem is that as soon as the ball leaves the exit hole, and starts rotating, there is no more time to place bets. It immediately announces No More bets.
So any calculations regarding the area of the wheel numbers that will be under that deflector, when the ball drops, have to be made before the ball exits the hole. ( If that's possible).
