Video recording prohibited - WHY?
« on: June 14, 2017, 05:00:02 PM »
I assume that you are aware of the prohibition of recording in a casino's premises.
Each and every rule must serve a purpose, so what's the intention of such rule?
If you go to a restaurant, bar or club they allow you to record as long as you don't disturb other customers.
At the casinos it's not the case, I'm sure they don't do it in order to protect their patrons from unwanted publicity.
I dare to guess that by preventing recording you avoid being accused with video evidence (?).
Actually I don't know what should I assume, any suggestions?

I think it is supposedly to protect the privacy of other players - or this can be often the excuse.

More likely an excuse in my point of view.

Let's say you were someone who doesn't want to be seen in a casino (for whatever reason), neither for others (eye in the sky & players) to figure out your strategy, would you went at B&M casinos and risk exposing yourself and what you are doing??

If attention falls upon you then you cannot hide, but you have to draw their attention in the first place.
I've heard famous actors and athletes to gamble at casinos, do you think they care to be seen?
If they would then they would not be there at all.

Video help a lot to study roulette device.  Imperfections can be seen, ball moviment analysed to determine ball track health,  tilt.. ets.
With video you can reduce time needed to complete profile up to 10 times in some cases.
Obviously casino will try to prevent such an activity of the players.

That's one more possible explanation, the final decision is a mixture of all these reasons.

By the way, I'm ready to take up your challenge.

So where is this challenging video of yours mr Perfect?

At least we would make a good laugh with it and at best some mouths would be silenced.
