rigged wheel?
« on: February 10, 2018, 12:06:42 AM »
Hi all first post here
I recently acquired and old worn out wheel. the outer frame was in 16 pieces. I believe it is an old funfair/carnival wheel. The outer frame measures 18 inches across and the rotor  is 10 inches with 42 segments. BUT the frets are all different in sizes. Always bigger before the Green pockets (6 greens on this wheel) there are also questionable holes in the base below the rotor. I'm almost finished restoring this wheel and would like a bit more info on it. By the way i'm in Ireland so the symbols may be unique to these parts. I'll post pics in a minute, just gotta figure out how

3nero,

I have a specialized interest in your restored wheel.  I'd like to see some video of it spinning if possible.
Perhaps we can trade some information.'

Try using "attachments and other options."  I think, but I'm not sure that you can upload a gif jpg.

@Real

the wheel has a huge wobble at the moment. was in a very very bad state when found.

Ok that worked
you can see how far off centre the rotor is in that pic. I suspect the spindle is off square

Very nice.  That's a different type of gaming device than what I thought it was though.

It looks like you've done a good job.

There probably are numbers under it.  How big is the wheel?

They wouldn't leave that outside.  It would warp like crazy if they did.
