what is your table minimum
« on: January 14, 2018, 12:36:58 AM »
i have one casino that i live by, and from what it seems, everyones table minimum allows them to play a bit differently then me. My table minimums are anywhere from 10 to 25 to 100 to 200. US Dollars. Does this seem high at least compared to your table minimums?

High would be relative to the cost of living in you country.

South africa: exchange rate..One U S dollar = thirteen Rand plus minus.
Table minimums R10, R25, R50, R100.
Much cheaper if you consider the exchange rate.

Here......$5 Mon-Thur.

The other days are $15 or $25. $15 when the Cubs are in town.

@mickyp that's the point I was getting at the min table amount around me does not allow me to play a single number unless I put down 10 or 15 on that single number and that seems like too much risk. Although your exchange rate in Africa seems to allow you technically to play for less than one American dollar if the exchange rates are adding up in my head

Casinos cater for majorities so we are fortunate to have low table minimums.

Thats odd because when a majority of the people come to the casino (aka it gets crowded) the table minimums go up ;-)

My casino has various table minimums from $1 to $100. I usually play on the $5 table as it suits my goals & bankroll. Sometimes for fun I'll sit at a touch screen console and play on the $1 live table

Upstairs in the high rollers room I often drool over the $100 minimum table. Haven't had the gonads to play there yet.

As of now, I've not been to the top floor rollers room, but I suspect there is probably a table up there with more than $100 minimum.

In South Africa it is wise to be politically correct. The minimum wage is very low and it is not wise to exclude any group of people for whatever reason.

The job of a croupier may look simple but it is a highly stressful job. Being monitored so closely 24/7 where even scratching your nose is seen as a breach of protocol. This can be very intimidating to a person who depends on that income to feed their family. They have no private space at all. Players are not fair to croupiers because we don't consider and respect the limitations placed on them in their work environment.  Their rudeness could be a defence mechanism to keep within casino work protocol. We must remember that it's their job that puts food on their tables. But Yes, rudeness is inexcusable.
