It s called OGD - Obsessive Gambling Disorder. Very common among gamblers suffering from an assortment of mental illnesses, like Bipolarity, Paranoid Schizopfrenia, OCD and so on.

Basically these individuals are not interested in making money, but more into the compulsion of having a kick from winning something on the next spin. When they lose, and usually they lose it all, they believe to be victims of some horrid conspiracy, where the Casino have rigged wheels and specifically targeting them at any cost.

Their behavior is much like heroin and fentanyl drug addicts. It´s an evil spiral going nowhere but downwards very often resulting in destroyed lives, not only for those suffering above mentioned diseases, but also for their closest relatives and family.

It is very easy to spot OGD gamblers at the tables. Ask any Pit-boss or veteran dealer,  and they ll have countless sad stories to tell about these people.

This might sound like an odd question but if your ever at a B&MY casino, have you ever had anyone try to intimidate you into betting your own money? Someone gets so into telling you about there bets and says "go ahead try it" or "bet it on (some bet)"

I have. It's kinds of screwed up. This one dude was twice my size telling me he'd lost 20 grand and he was just all kinds of charged up and tried to make me do specific bets by getting very close to me and just being assertive in general that I needed to bet.

OGDs are usually attracted to other OGDs. They sense the same disorder and develop some kind of co-sympathy, like if they were viewing themselves in a mirror.

Sounds like dewd needs to learn a lesson about stepping backward out of your personal space while you are moving money.

I do it some times heatmap.

Thomas,
It is also called fun. And gambling. It is a great misunderstanding to confuse gambling with obsessive gambling.

Btw, always gamble responsibly and completely avoid gambling if underage. Always play with money you are ready to lose.

Once somebody starts telling me what to bet as a command its time for us to part company and I don't plan on being the one that moves.

On the other hand, the best self-defense is avoiding a conflict and so simply walking away and making sure I am not followed could be a good solution.

I mean my gosh its no different from somebody walking up to me at an ATM and striking up a conversation while I am pulling out money!

In my B&M casino I know some peaple,  who plays 37 numbers. This is also a kind of blind betting. They are afraid of a losing spin. Every spin is a hit.
When you play only for pleasure and roulette is your hobby, small losses are not a problem. The tobacco companies are the large money makers. Smokers spend likely more money than the roulette players.

Blind betting is no worse than system betting.  Both will have the same advantage, with no advantage

Actually blind betting has more chance to loose less then system betting. Systems has bet selections and offer no reasonable way to skip play when it really not good. Bet selections are more likely to be negatively biased ( especially narrow ones).
Blind betting on other hand has no fixed bet selection... so it may average results with expectation more efficiently.
    Just my opinion. ..
