Yeah, Kav, I thought it would be a nice little spinoff of what we all do. I'd love to see members post stuff like this that they've found.

The American "Eagle" Roulette wheel began its brief life in the late 19th century. It's known for a slot on the wheel containing an eagle symbol. By this time the American wheel already had two zeroes, and the addition of the eagle slot in effect made it a three zero game. Evidently, some proprietors weren't satisfied with the already high house edge - and added this feature. Predictably, the eagle soon died a quick death, as it spooked away customers with it's outlandish odds.

Also, the wheel had some other peculiarities - there were only 28 numbers, and some of them don't correspond to their current colors of today. All odds were black, and evens were red. And of course the zeroes and the eagle were green.

Surviving eagle wheels in good condition are extremely rare, and when they come up for auction they can bring thousands of dollars...
