I bet £100 on Obama first election, and the odds were not bad. This time the odds are not so I would bet.

A couple of months ago, I would have said Hillary had it slam-dunked. Not so sure now. The electorate is very volatile and hostile this year. Never seen a campaign like this one. They are lining up with the demagogues and rejecting the status quo.  Even here in good ol' bible belt conservative Arkansas USA, I'm seeing Bernie Sanders signs. Amazing! He's about as far left as you can get - yet he has broad appeal. Trump's rallies look more like war zones than campaign events... and people love it. It's gonna be one helluva election - I'm actually looking forward to all the hoopla.

If I could vote in the US it should be Sanders, and I think if a 6 million vote aged in Sweden are forced to vote in the US Sander would be the winner. USA and Europe are different societies. We try rational and in the US religion has a big part. If the Swedish prime minister or the King should shout out "Good bless Sweden" most will smile and feel its is a humor statement which will reduce the support for the candidate, in very most cases.
The right parties here are called SOCIAIST in some states in the US.  God is not ruling here! And for example  the war criminal administration under Bush is not supported here. We have security and military cooperation, but that's is not viewed the same "over there".

I think both Bernie and The Donald have tapped into the universal disappointment with the current situation in the  U.S.A.
I think it will be between The Donald and Hilary but Bernie might decide to stand as an Independent.
If The Donald  does gain The Presidency  I think he will adjust his simplistic views   to the realities of   politics,
NO High Fence to keep Mexicans OUT.
NO block on immigration though maybe stricter control.
NO bombing the hell out of Daesh.
He is not as stupid as some think. I think he is a wheeler-dealer who will talk with any World  Leader to solve any perceived problem that faces the U.S,A.
His focus will be on benefiting the U.S.A - and to hell with the rest of the World!

You have a population of almost 320 million and those 3 are the best you can come up with? Holy cow! The world is doomed! I don't think any of them are any good. Trump is just crazy - has no idea of global or national issues and as a result is just dangerous. Hillary is a liar and a thief and basically a criminal, and is a war-monger and so is also dangerous. And Bernie is a self-confessed socialist and history is clear on socialism - it doesn't work. He is also getting a bit old and some of his comments indicate that he is starting to feel his age (in his mind). Not as sharp as he once was.

In answer to your question, however, my guess would be Hillary. God help us all!

I have discovered that american politics is on the level of idiocy when compared to politicians in Europe.  I mean I detest saying so but Putin is so much more intelligent than our politicians and I crave that in leaders so much I found myself desiring to even be Russian.

Now obviously this is all insanity because I detest the horrors of communism but its just an unfortunate observation I have made.

Reyth I agree.
Compared to Putin, in terms of leadership, most other politicians from Merkel to Obama, seem like accountants, bureaucrats or puppets. Especially in the US, the presided seems more like a front-man. The real decisions are made by lobbies and other cliques I believe.

They must be Wall Street approved, and probably as well from the military industrial complex.

You guys are right. It's all a dog and pony show. Candidates (no matter which party) are spit out of the same meat grinder. The 2 party system exists so the people won't get scared. That's it's only function.
They will all play ball as ordered. Those who don't play ball are liquidated (ie...JFK).
