About bitcoins
« on: April 18, 2017, 06:36:57 PM »
I know Jake 007 is an expert at bitcoins. If anyone else can help they are more than welcome.
My question is this. I need to receive a payment in btc.
What would be the safest and easiest way to receive that money and then transfer it as euros or dollars to a bank account or paypal?

A simple step by step guide would be nice

I can recommend Paxful.  They have a wonderful guide on how to buy & sell coins (multiple currencies) with Paypal being a popular option among 100+ others.  However, I admit that I am a bitcoin newb and defer to Jake.

It doesn't belong to any particular government as an international currency. Quick transactions should have minimal risk imo?

Create an account on Virwox and you should be able to hook up your paypal account...

https://www.virwox.com/

You dont need to upload too much info about yourself. Other sites require photo ID proof, copies of letters with name & address, etc. With Virwox you should need to do any of that.

There are a few caveats...
  • There are daily & monthly limits on transfers unless you upload some sort of identification.
  • They also charge fees for making the transfer from bitcoin to Paypal.
The daily/monthly limits are something like $50 day and $300 a month if I recall. Not a big deal if you are just moving a little money. I am not sure what the conversion fee is they charge. It can be anything from 2%-10%. I just dont remember, sorry. Have you calculator handy before you accept their conversion :)

Here is an article & pictorial summary of how to get bitcoins with a paypal account using the Virwox website...

The process is essentially reversed selling bitcoin to paypal.
